Melanie tells her stories in a meaningful and humorous way. Being thrust into the Secret Service world at twenty-two with no military or law enforcement experience is bound to attract some comedy. Her unique experiences are oddly relatable, and she wants others to be encouraged by her story.

Previous speaking engagements include numerous guest lectures in a university and high school setting, a Women Lead Change Power Ladies luncheon (www.wlcglobal.org), Cedar Rapids Rotary, etc. She was the keynote speaker at the 2020 Women’s Health and Lifestyle Fair put on by UnityPoint and hosted by KWQC TV6 in Davenport, IA. She also assisted DHS representatives at law enforcement presentations regarding the Safe School Initiative.
